Medical logistics has a different failure mode from everything else we carry. When a pallet of retail stock arrives an hour late, someone is annoyed. When a specimen arrives outside its stability window, the test is void, the patient is recalled, the clinician is delayed, and the practice absorbs the cost of collecting it all over again.
That is why medical work is handled as scheduled routes rather than ad hoc jobs wherever possible. A fixed pickup time, the same driver, a known sequence of stops and a known arrival at the receiving lab. Predictability is the entire product. A courier who is brilliant on Tuesday and unreachable on Thursday is worse than no courier at all, because you have already built your collection schedule around them.
We run both models. Scheduled routes for practices, clinics, dialysis centres, dental groups and multi-site providers who need the same collection every day. And STAT runs for the urgent single pickup, the sample that has to reach a reference lab before it closes, the pharmacy delivery a patient is waiting on at home.
Drivers on medical routes are briefed on the handling requirements for what they carry: keeping coolers closed and in the cabin rather than the load space, chain of custody paperwork completed at each stop, and delivery direct to the named receiving point rather than a front desk. What drives the price
No published rate card, and here is the honest reason why.
Any rate card broad enough to cover every job in this metro would have to be priced for the worst case, which means overcharging most customers. We quote the actual job instead.

Can you cover a daily specimen route for our practice?
Yes, and it is the work we are best set up for. Tell us your sites, your collection windows and your receiving laboratory, and we will build a route and price it as a monthly contract. We will also tell you honestly if your window is not achievable in the traffic conditions at that hour.
How do you handle temperature sensitive samples?
Coolers travel in the cabin rather than the cargo area, are kept closed between stops, and are not left in a parked vehicle. Where you supply your own validated packaging and cold packs we use yours and follow your instructions. If your protocol requires specific documentation or monitoring, send it to us and we will run to it.
Do your drivers follow our facility's protocol?
Yes. If you have a written protocol for pickup points, receiving contacts, identification, paperwork or handling, send it over during setup. It goes to the driver assigned to your route and forms part of how the route is run.
What happens if our regular driver is unavailable?
The route is documented, not held in one person's head. A cover driver receives the same stop sequence, contacts and protocol notes. You are told in advance when a cover driver is running your route so your staff are not surprised by an unfamiliar face.
