Booking and pricing
How do I book a job?
Call the dispatch number and describe it, or send the details through the quote form. There is no account to open first. For regular work we will set up an account so invoicing is consolidated, but you do not need one to get a first job moving today.
Why is there no price list on the site?
Because a rate card broad enough to cover every job in this metro would have to be priced for the worst case scenario, which means most customers overpay to subsidise the difficult jobs. We quote the actual job instead. It takes about three minutes and the number is usually lower.
What is included in the quoted price?
Tolls, fuel, the vehicle, the driver and a stated waiting allowance at each end. Anything that could add to it, extended waiting, a reattempt, a second person, is explained before you agree, and never applied without your say so.
Do you require a minimum volume or a contract?
No. Plenty of our customers use us a few times a year for the jobs their usual carrier cannot handle. Contracts only come into it for dedicated routes, where committing to a schedule is what makes the lower per stop price possible.
How do I pay, and what are your terms?
Per job or on account. Account customers are invoiced weekly or monthly by arrangement. Terms are agreed at setup, and for a first job with a new customer we will normally take payment on completion.
Timing and coverage
How fast can you pick up?
In the core zone, Newark, Jersey City, Elizabeth, Hoboken and Lower and Midtown Manhattan, typically 45 to 90 minutes from the call in normal weekday traffic. Further out the honest answer depends on what is already on the board, and we will give you that answer rather than accepting the job and hoping.
Do you work weekends and holidays?
Yes. Saturday, Sunday, evening, overnight and holiday coverage is all available. It prices differently because of driver availability, and you are told that difference at quote stage.
How far do you go?
All of New York and all of New Jersey. We deliberately do not claim national coverage, because beyond this area we would be handing your freight to a subcontractor and that is not a service we want to sell.
Can you do a same-day round trip?
Yes, and it is often cheaper than two separate jobs because the vehicle is already committed. Tell us at quote stage that it is a there and back, along with the waiting time you expect at the far end.
Handling and equipment
What if the delivery site has no loading dock?
That describes a large share of receiving points in this region, so it is standard rather than exceptional. Our box trucks carry liftgates and pallet jacks. Tell us the site conditions when you book so the right vehicle goes out the first time.
Can you deliver inside the building?
Usually, with a pallet jack, provided the route in is level and passable and the floor takes the load. Stairs, tight service lifts and long carries need flagging beforehand so we send two people or the right equipment.
Do you handle fragile or high value items?
Yes, within the cargo limits confirmed for your job. Declare the value at quote stage so the right coverage and handling are in place from the start rather than being argued about afterwards.
Can you carry temperature sensitive goods?
Yes. Coolers travel in the cabin, kept closed and out of direct sun. Where you supply validated packaging and cold packs we use yours and follow your instructions.
Insurance and paperwork
Are you insured?
Yes. Commercial auto liability, general liability and cargo insurance. Certificates naming your company or your building as certificate holder are issued the same day on request.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance for a Manhattan building?
Yes, and you should ask for it before the first delivery rather than after a driver is turned away at the lobby. Send us the building's requirements and the certificate holder details and we will get it over the same day.
What proof of delivery do I get?
Signature and printed name with a time stamp where someone is there to sign, or a time stamped photograph at the door where the delivery is left. Emailed as the job closes.
What happens if something is damaged?
Tell us immediately and photograph it before anything is moved. Claims are handled through our cargo cover. Being straight about this is the point of carrying the insurance in the first place.

Most questions get a faster and better answer on the phone than any FAQ page can manage, because the answer usually depends on your specific job.
